McTimoney Corley Spinal Manipulation

I am trained in the McTimoney Corley method of Spinal Manipulation, which is a gentle, effective method of joint manipulation, which can alleviate pain in the musculoskeletal system, improve mobility, improve joint and muscle function, and realign the entire spine and pelvis. I am also trained in various muscle techniques, myofascial release and cranial work.

I am trained to assess both the skeleton and the soft tissue systems of the body.

Benefits of treatment

  • Horses are more symmetrical after treatment, more even on both reins, and move straighter
  • Release of spinal joints relieves back pain
  • Releases muscle tension and stiffness
  • Improved range of movement and freedom of paces
  • Increased co-ordination in ridden work
  • Increased muscle strength allowing your horse to perform more easily and comfortably
  • Improved jumping technique and horses able to complete more difficult dressage movements such as lateral work.
  • Horses are able to work at their optimum levels without stress, unevenness or tension in their body, helping to prevent injury.

I am qualified and insured as an Equine Vet Physiotherapist, Rehabilitation Specialist, and McTimoney Corley Spinal Manipulation Therapist.

I am based in Staffordshire, and cover Staffordshire, South Cheshire and parts of Derbyshire. I offer online consultations for anyone outside of these areas.

I use a multi modal approach to your horses specific needs, whether an injury case, joint manipulation is required, maintaining correct alignment of body and posture in between competitions, back check, or general loosen off/massage.

I am registered on the new RAMP register for Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners, and am also registered with the IRVAP professional association for Animal Physiotherapists.

I am also a qualified Mindset Coach!

So I bring together my expertise in both equine rehabilitation AND mindset, to help horse owners all over the world, to navigate the difficulties of the rehab process, more successfully and smoothly!

I offer group and 121 mindset coaching through my 'Equine Connection Mastery' programmes.

About Jenny

I live in Staffordshire in the UK, with my partner and our dog Max! My horse is Azuro, the poster boy for most of my advertising (!) and the demo horse for all of my online training! We have done some competing and fun rides etc, in the past; now I enjoy hacking with Azuro when time allows!

QUALIFICATIONS

I am qualified in the McTimoney Corley method of Animal Spinal Manipulation, and specialise in horses. I am also qualified as an Equine Vet Physiotherapist & Rehabilitation Specialist. AND I am a qualified Mindset Coach, so work with horse owners all over the world, supporting them through the rehab process, both from the physical side for the horse, and the connection side through the mindset work for the owner.

PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATION

I am registered with the RAMP register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners, which is the gold standard register in the UK for the most highly qualified therapists. I am also registered with the IRVAP association

ADDITIONAL TRAINING

Every year I attend various additional training days to continually keep my knowledge up to date. I have attended training in biomechanics, anatomy, saddle fitting, craniosacral work, myofascial release, kinesiology taping, as well as attending many lectures, seminars, dissections, all of which add to my skill set and knowledge.

MY WORK WITH HORSES

My motivation with horses is to see them recover from pain or discomfort, and enable them to move with freedom, in well fitting tack that doesn’t impede their movement, and do the job that the horse and rider enjoy together – whether this is hacking out, jumping, eventing, racing, dressage, fun rides.

I find the exercise rehabilitation process rewarding, motivating, and super successful! And I enjoy teaching my clients how to train and rehabilitate their horses, to enable them to be the very best version of themselves, through correct, sympathetic movement methods.

I love my work, and am committed to always learning more, and finding ways to impart my knowledge to you, both in person and online.
